My favorite quote EVER!

Believe it or not, my favorite quote ever is actually not from Elder Maxwell or Elder Bednar (their talks are my favorites), it is from President Benson. It came to my mind this morning as I was reading a friend's blog, so I thought I'd share it.

"The Lord works from the inside out, the world works from the outside in. The world would take people out of the slums, Christ takes the slums out of people and then they take themselves out fo the slums. The world would mold men by changing their environment. Christ changes men, who then change their environment. The world would shape human behavior, but Christ can change human nature."

What is your favorite?

Okay, so this is not as profuond on any level, but I love this quote/saying( I don't really have favorites, so this is just one I really like), don't know from who, I read it in an Ensign years ago-

"You will never be satisfied by that which you do not need."

It keeps me focused on the important things. It comes to mind a lot.

Melissa,

Just catching up on a few of your past blogs. Miracles DO happen! Kids CAN let things go so easily...and your statement on adults..to true! And that kind of goes with this one..isn't it sad when we let the "slums" stick around in our hearts.

Finally...I agree with the girls at Girls Camp...we miss you and you'll just have to move back:)!
