Girls [and Dads] Just Wanna Have Fun!

Last week I babysat two little girls, so....I had 4 little girls (a 5 yr. old, 4 yr. old, 3 yr. old, and an 18 month old). So what do you do with 4 adorable little girls? I had FUN with make-up, fingernail polish, and bows!!

Last night Cory decided he wanted to join in on the fun with his little girls, so...he gave them makeovers. It was ADORABLE!!! I'm not sure who loved it more, me, the girls, or HIM!!!

"Why I Love You..."

Last night was a crazy night. Katelund was awake more than half of the night crying because her leg, foot, knee, and/or toe were hurting her (every time she woke up in the night it was something else). I finally came out and slept with Katelund on the couch so that she wouldn't keep everyone else awake. It was really hard to stay compassionate and happy with her because I was so tired (especially by about 5 am). Each time she would wake up, I would put ice on whatever hurt and then I would put on some pain/muscle ache reliever cream. This morning, Katelund came and gave me a big hug in the bathroom and said, "Mommy, I love you." Then she said, "Do you know why I love you?" " Because you take care of me." All of the sudden my long and sleepless night became memorable and important. Moments such as that, make it all worth it!!!

Housewarming Gift

Cory's boss and his wife wanted to give us a housewarming gift. Nicole called me and told me that I had a scheduled appointment on Tuesday night at Your Secret Kitchen. I went last night and had such a great time!!!

When you first walk in, they give you an apron to put on and then a list of the meals that you have signed up for. Then, they have a table set out full of appetizers and drinks for you to enjoy while you wait for everyone else to show up. After everyone came, they explained where all the stations were for each meal and then you would go to the station and everything that you needed for the recipe was laid out for you and you just followed the step-by-step instructions and made your meal right there and then put the sticker with the directions on the lid/bag and put it in your assigned area in the freezer while you made the other meals. It was so much fun!!! They clean everything up for you as you leave your station and they have an incredible menu to choose from.

So now I have three gourmet meals sitting in my freezer waiting for that day that I just don't feel like making dinner or don't have the time to do it. What an amazing idea, huh? Thanks to Jeff and Nicole for such an awesome housewarming gift!

All About Katelund...

Today is Katelund's 4th birthday. I decided to make it a day all about her and do everything that she wants to do. We started the day off with a traditional pancake breakfast and then we read about 20 books, played the Blue's Clues board game, played in the bathtub, colored, made a get well card for Katelund's neighbor friend, had a picnic, painted fingernails, put on make-up, watched Little Mermaid, and now we are about to make her a "Strawberry Shortcake" birthday cake for her party tonight. We are going to have a family party filled with pizza and all sorts of fun games like hot/cold (with her presents), hide and seek in the dark, etc... It has been a great day so far.

This morning Katelund said our family prayer. In her prayer she said, "please bless Cloey that she will be nice to me because it is my birthday." It was so hilarious! I can't believe she is already 4!!! Time goes so quickly. I am so glad Katelund is a part of my life. She is such a wonderful daughter. She teaches me everyday how to be more loving, forgiving, patient, and kind to others. I think my daughters teach me more than I will ever teach them. I love you Katelund!!! Happy Birthday!

My New Look...

Andrea, I am finally posting a picture!!

This last weekend, I had one of the young woman in my ward, Lucy, dye my hair. I don't know if you can really tell in the picture, but I dyed it a light auburn color. I really like it! I was just so ready to get rid of my blond highlights.
