Another Conversation with Cloey

Last night, Cloey and I were eating dinner together (Katelund was finishing up a chore she had not done earlier and Cory is out of town). After a couple of bites of our delicious macaroni and cheese (definitely my kind of dinner when it's just me and the girls), the following conversation took place...

Cloey: "Mommy, I need to talk to you."

Me: "Okay, what is it honey?"

Cloey: "Today a boy at preschool told me that he wanted to marry me." (as she ducks her head in embarrassment)

Me: (trying desperately hard not to laugh) "Do you want to marry him?"

Cloey: "No!"

Me: "Then tell him you don't want to marry him."

Cloey: pauses and thinks about it for a moment and then sincerely says the following, "Mommy, why didn't you wait longer so that I could marry Daddy?"

What a sweet moment. Cory must be the perfect Dad for little girls, which must also be one of the reasons you will have 4 girls soon.

Yes, Cory is the best daddy for little girls. I always tell him that he's the one ruining my chance of getting a boy because all the girls are lining up in heaven hoping for him to be their daddy.

Melissa -- I just wanted to drop over and tell you I love you and miss you. I was reading the Beadles' blog and I always love your comments. They are so compassionate and strong at the same time. I truly admire you. I wish I could be there now to rub your feet. Love, Mary

Cloey is the best! I can't believe how big she looks in that picture. She has grown so much. I remember when Jake used to say he wanted to marry me when he grew up. :)

I tell Vaughn the exact same thing!! I swear some daddy's are just meant to be the father to little girls. It takes a special kind. :)

Cloey cracks me up. I love her!
