More Grandparent Fun

This last week was so much fun!!! My mom and dad came to visit AND my Grandma and Grandpa Braithwaite. We did so many fun things and made some wonderful memories. We went up to Mount Mitchell (the highest mountain east of the Mississippi River), went to Chimney Rock (where we explored a cave and climbed up the "Eye of the Needle"), watched a butterfly migration off the Blue Ridge, visited Sliding Rock and Looking Glass Falls, experienced downtown Asheville (the land of granolas and hippies), took a boat ride tour of Lake Lure (where Dirty Dancing was filmed), celebrated Cory's birthday at Flat Rock, played games, and just had FUN!! I don't know if life can get much better than this last month because my girls got to be with both sets of grandparents and two sets of great grandparents. It has been such a GREAT month!

How does 50 feel?

It's OFFICIAL!!!

As of yesterday, both Cory's parents and my parents are in their 50's. We spent the last four days in Fayetteville celebrating Sherrie's birthday. It was so much fun! Not only did we get to be with Cory's parents and Stefani, but we also got to see Cory's grandma and grandpa Tarbet. Katelund and Cloey were just in heaven with all of their grandparents there to spoil them and play with them.

Some of the highlights of the trip were; playing Apples to Apple, spending time with the Prasse family, washing out our new car that we are buying from Cory's parents, watching Grandma Tarbet play barbies with Katelund, listening to some INCREDIBLE talks at their stake conference (including Pres. Catlett, the most amazing stake president ever, and a general authority), shopping at the thrift store with Sherrie and Grandma Tarbet, watching Cloey be so enamored over her grandpa, having some alone time with Cory, watching Stefani be so adorable with her neices, playing with the hermit crabs that Grandma brought back for her grandaughters from the beach (literally right off the beach), our Sunday afternoon family walk, etc...

Sisters Are Friends Forever!!

When I came home from running this morning, I found the girls like this. It just melted my heart. I hope and pray that they will be friends for the rest of their life. I feel so blessed to have such close relationships with my sisters. I couldn't imagine my life without them in it.

Catch-up

Wow, I feel like I have been so out of it since my computer has been down for the last week or so. I really enjoy reading about other people's life and feeling like somehow I am closer to them and that the distance that separates us is lessened. I feel so blessed to have lived in so many different places and to have met so many amazing people who have impacted my life in such a powerful way. If only they would all blog. :) Thank you to all of those who do comment and read my blog (even if I am cheesy most of the time). It means so much to me.

The last two weeks have been pretty crazy. Especially since I just got a 3rd calling as the 2nd counselor in Primary. Well, it will only be for 3 more months and then I will just have two because they have asked me to continue being the music leader in primary until after the Program in November. Thankfully, they are going to let me stay in YWs as the Personal Progress leader. I feel like the luckiest person in the ward because I get to serve in Primary AND YWs. Things will be pretty crazy at times but I know that with the Lord I can do all things. The Bishop actually told me that if I felt like it was too much then he'd release me from YWs, but as I was praying about it during the week, I found my answer as I was reading from the scriptures. Nephi was being told by the Lord that He would provide a means for Him to accomplish all that He commanded of him if He would keep the commandments. It was just one of those times that I knew as I was reading that I was receiving my own personal revelation.

Last weekend we set up the girls' new beds. They are now offically out of cribs and toddler beds and they have entered the world of bunk beds. It is so much fun!!! They are LOVING it. I will have to post a picture of them on here later. It is crazy to think that both of my little girls are in normal beds. I just can't believe how quickly time passes.

On Labor Day, we went and got Cloey's ears pierced. It was amazing, she didn't cry AT ALL!!! She didn't even flinch. It truly was a miracle because if you know Cloey you know that she is all about DRAMA!!! Her earrings are BEAUTIFUL!! They are white gold CQs (her birth stone) in a princess cut. SO CUTE!!! Again, I'll post pictures later.

I just started my training this week for a 5k in December. One of the cutest little girls in Primary, Olivia, has asked me to run it with her because she is doing it for a new club at school called "Girls on the Run". She is so excited, as am I!! I am actually walking each morning for 30 minutes before I run because my neighbor and I wanted to work-out together. Yes, that is right, once again we have just happened to move next door to the most incredible neighbors. I don't know how we always get so lucky. Their names are Julie and Jesse and their 6 month old daughter is named Eliona. We have spent the last couple Friday nights with them playing cards, watching college football and having dinner together. They are such a fun couple, and they are just great people!!!

Well I think that I have caught-up enough for now.
