Cruise pics

One of many breath-taking beaches off the coast of Mexico.

Below is a pyramid in Coba, Mexico.

Cruise pics

Looking at our ship from the island of Cozumel.

The kiddos hanging out at the kiddy pool on the ship. (Cloey called it the "kitty cat pool")
In Tulum, the battery died so my dad and his three son-in-laws were trying to jump start it.
This picture and the one below were taken on formal night. Sorry for the glare, it is a picture of a picture that we ordered. I actually did the heart on my belly just to be dorky, but we ended up loving the picture.

Ethan, Cloey, Abby, and Katelund looking at the Mayan ruins in Tulum, Mexico.
Waiting for a show to start with Katie, Jason, and Great Grandma Black.
The kids were dancing with our waitress, Katrina. She was so wonderful!!!
One of the beautiful flowers found in Mexico.

The Cruise

This picture was taken as the ship was pulling out of port in Mobile, Alabama.
Cory, my mom, Andrea, Ryan, Jason, and Katie went clear bottom kayaking and snorkeling in Cozumel. Unfortunately, I couldn't go because I guess I'm a liability being pregnant at all. :)
The cousins playing together in the beautiful white sand of Cozumel.
Walking hand in hand in Tulum, Mexico.

Katie and Jason's Wedding

Okay everybody, there is my belly. Left to Right: Grandma Braithwaite, me, Andrea (sister), Grandpa Braithwaite, Abby (neice), and Ethan (nephew).
Mr. and Mrs. Jason Allphin
The beautiful bride
Katie and Jason with their parents.

Well after two great weeks, I am finally home, unpacked, and back to normal life. I went out to Katie and Jason's wedding by myself and Cory's mom drove from Fayetteville to come and tend the girls. It was nice to be able to enjoy the wedding without chasing my kids around but I really missed them and Cory. The sealing in the temple was BEAUTIFUL!! Katie looked gorgeous and Jason looked completely smitten. :) It was so fun to see them so happy and in love.

Boy or Girl??????

Today was the big appointment, and yes we did find out what we're having....but, I am going to have to wait to announce it because on Monday when my family picks me up at the airport I am surprising them by wearing a pink shirt if it's a girl or a blue shirt if it's a boy. Besides the whole placenta previa issue, everything else looks great....and....I get to go on the cruise. I just have to continue to stay off my feet as much as I can and carry my medical records around with me "everywhere I go". I can't think of a better place to relax and take it easy than the beautiful coast of Cozumel. :) I have some great pictures to post from Memorial Day, strawberry picking, girls night out, and some other random ones, but I cannot find the USB cord to my camera so....once again here is a post without pics. Sorry.

Not as much relief....

So....I thought everything was just fine until Sunday when the bleeding got pretty heavy. I called the on-call doctor and was told to go to bed right away. He told me if I'd been at least 25 weeks along then they'd have sent me to the hospital, but since I wasn't then I just needed to get off my feet and call if the bleeding got really bad. The doctor was so sweet, he actually called me later in the night to make sure I was okay. Anyways, after a very long and sleepless night, I went into the doctor first thing this morning to get another ultrasound. It turns out that I have placenta previa. Which means that my placenta is partially covering my cervix, which is causing the bleeding. I still get to go out to Texas for Katie's wedding and hopefully I'll be able to go on the cruise (I didn't dare ask, but I will on Friday). But, I have to stay off my feet as much as possible because if I start bleeding a lot I could hemoraghe and it could kill me and the baby. Kinda scary, huh? I am just relieved that the baby is fine and for the most part I have control over the situation. Just knowing what is going on brings peace of mind. Anyways, I'm sure all will be fine.
